Job Description:
1. Install and Configure RedHat Enterprise linux (RHEL)
2. Shell Scripting to automate operational tasks
3. Security Implementation and Administration (i.e. SELINUX)
4. Apply RHEL OS fixes and upgrades.
5. Install and configure products (Webspehere Application Server, DB2) on Linux OS
6. Troubleshooting of Linux OS related problem
7. Liaise with IBM labs and RHEL support team to resolve OS Issues
8. Performance Monitoring and Tuning
9. Perform Storage/Space management
10. Review and maintain system configuration documentation
11. 24 X 7 System operation, monitoring and support
12. Level 1 Ticket resolution
13. Backup and Recovery of OS images.
Technical Skills:
Redhat Enterprise Linux, SELINUX, Shell Scripting, Administration of multiple linux images
Should have completed RHEL Administration certification, System Automation and Omegamon monitoring tools
Good communication Skills, Ability to work in a Team, Mentoring a team, Will be required to work in 24*7 Shifts, Should be willing to work Extended Hours/Weekend if required
